Co-shareholder and Director
Dr. Marios Charalambides is Meerkat City’s co-shareholder and Director. Marios has very strong knowledge of AML rules and regulations as well as compliance procedures.
He has presented various seminars on AML related subjects. For the past four years he has been serving as Compliance and AML Officer in various Regulated Entities (CIFs and AIFMs), which are active in brokerage, discretionary portfolio management, and portfolio management of collective investments. Before his Meerkat City endeavors, Marios had spend more than a decade with a major local credit institution as a Senior Officer in the Business Banking Division, where he was responsible for managing a €100m corporate loan portfolio.
He was awarded a PhD degree in Social Sciences from Brunel University, London, in 1998 and he is a holder of the CySEC “Advanced” Certificate.
